45-Year-Old Eliseo Zapien Injured in Deadly Oakdale Accident at Patterson and Bentley Roads
Oakdale, California (March 13, 2022) – Eliseo Zapien, 45, of Waterford was hospitalized after a major collision that left two people dead near Oakdale on Saturday afternoon, the authorities said.
Kellie Content, 31, of Modesto and Ruth Rancano, 56, of Modesto, died following the collision that took place at round 2:25 p.m. March 12.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash at Bentley and Patterson roads.
Rancano was reportedly driving a 2007 Honda northbound on Bentley Road when she failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and crashed into the right side of a 2018 Chevrolet heading east on Patterson Road.
Eliseo Zapien Injured in Fatal Oakdale Collision
The Chevrolet was being driven by Eliseo Zapien, 45, of Waterford.
The vehicles then crashed with a 2017 Volkswagen driven west on Patterson Road by Content. The force of the crash caused the Chevrolet to overturn.
Rancano and Content died in the collision.
Zapien and a passenger in the Volkswagen, Natalie Camacho, 31, of Modesto, were taken to Memorial Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.
No further details on the collision were available.
The investigation is ongoing.
