Cajon Pass, CA – The motorcyclist who was killed early Friday morning in a hit-and-run accident in the Cajon Pass has been identified as 34-year-old Erek I. Brown, of Victorville, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner's Office.
The deadly accident happened just before 1:00 a.m. on July 25, 2025, on northbound I-15 Freeway near the truck scales, south of Highway 138.
Officials said Brown ran out of gas on the freeway and was waiting for his girlfriend, who was on her way, to bring him fuel. When she arrived, Brown had been involved in an accident.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved vehicle, a gray Scion, fled the scene and was found on the northbound I-15 at the Highway 138 off-ramp.
The authorities are still looking for the suspect.
The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the California Highway Patrol.
