Erica Anderson Killed in Rio Vista Car Accident on Highway 12 and Summerset Road
Rio Vista, California (July 29, 2022) – One of the four victims of a deadly crash that happened on Highway 12 in Solano County has been identified as Erica Anderson, 18, according to the coroner's office.
The collision occurred at around 8:15 p.m. on July 27, at Summerset Road.
Jordan Colvin, 20, of Vacaville was reportedly driving a Honda Accord west on Highway 12 when he drifted off the shoulder of the roadway, then overcorrected into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an eastbound Chevrolet Suburban.
The impact of the crash ejected Colvin and one of his two passengers.
Colvin and his passengers, Lacy Conway, 19, of Vacaville, and Erica Anderson, 18, were all killed in the crash.
One of the passengers in Chevrolet, identified as Laura Poiret, also died in the crash. She was reportedly in her 70s.
Six people were transported to hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Authorities said the patients were in stable condition.
The seven people in the Chevrolet were reportedly Mexican nationals visiting California.
Several open alcohol containers were recovered from the Accord.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
