Erik Berg ID'd as Man Killed in Malibu Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway
Malibu, California (September 21, 2021) – A man who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday morning in Malibu has been identified as Erik Berg, 39, according to the authorities.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 6:00 a.m. September 17, in the 22000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, also known as State Route 1.
Berg was attempting to cross the roadway when he was hit by a passing vehicle.
Emergency crews responded to the crash and performed life-saving measures on him, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The California Highway Patrol closed Pacific Coast Highway between Carbon Canyon Road and Malibu Canyon Road as they conducted an investigation.
