Authorities received a call around 6:05 a.m. about a man lying down near Laurel Canyon and Roscoe boulevards.

Los Angeles, CA. – 43-year-old Erik Florer died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that happened Tuesday morning near an intersection in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported.
Authorities received a call around 6:05 a.m. about a man lying down near Laurel Canyon and Roscoe boulevards.
The Los Angeles Police Department and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.
Florer was located at the scene dead from injuries believed to have been sustained in a pedestrian accident.
There was no description of the suspected driver or vehicle.
Investigators remained at the scene for about two hours collecting information.
