Erna Dobson ID'd as Corning Woman Killed in Red Bluff Crash on South Avenue near Kirkwood Road

Red Bluff, California (March 9, 2022) – Erna Dobson, 87, of Corning, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a car crash on Monday evening in Red Bluff, according to the Butte County Coroner's Office.
The accident happened at around 6:30 p.m., March 7, on South Avenue near Kirkwood Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, William Dobson, 62, of Los Molinos, was headed eastbound on South Avenue in a 2015 Chrysler 200 when he collided with a westbound 2000 Ford F-150 pickup, driven by a teenage boy.

Erna Dobson, who was in the right front passenger's seat of William Dobson's car, sustained injuries in the accident. She was taken to Enloe Medical Center in Chico, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
