Esau Calixto-Flores Arrested after Fresno Accident on Ashlan Avenue and Golden State Boulevard
Fresno, California (January 21, 2022) – Esau Angel Calixto-Flores, 21, was arrested following a crash that happened near Ashlan Avenue and Golden State Boulevard in Fresno on Thursday morning.
The collision happened near Ashlan Avenue and Golden State Boulevard on Thursday, January 19.
Authorities said Calixto-Flores was involved in a hit-and-run collision near Highway 180 and Highway 99.
Calixto-Flores reportedly fled the scene of the initial crash and was pursued by the other driver.
Shortly after, Calixto-Flores collided head-on with a black truck.
The driver of the truck, Joe Silva, 48, of Fresno, died in the collision

Calixto-Flores and his passenger were taken to a hospital for treatment.
He was also arrested on vehicular manslaughter charges and possibly hit-and-run.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
