According to police, Nieto was trying to cross the highway mid block when he was struck by a 2019 Hyundai Elantra traveling eastbound
Tucson, AZ.- Eugene Anthony Nieto, 44, was hit and killed by a vehicle in Tucson early Friday morning, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The incident was reported shortly after 1:00 a.m. July 18, in the 300 block of East Fort Lowell Road.
According to police, Nieto was trying to cross the highway mid block when he was struck by a 2019 Hyundai Elantra traveling eastbound.
Nieto was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 41-year-old, was unhurt and remained at the scene.
The incident is under investigation.
