Fancy Castro and Ray Segura Killed in Delano Car Accident on Highway 155 and Melcher Road
Delano, California (August 10, 2022) – Authorities have identified Fancy Renee Castro, 30, and Ray Segura, 33, as two persons killed in a car accident on Saturday in Delano.
According to a local news source, the deadly collision happened at around 2:00 a.m. on August 2 on Highway 155 ( Garces Highway) and Melcher Road.
Per the report, a 2015 Dodge ran a stop sign for unknown reasons at the intersection and T-boned into a Kia operated by Segura. The impact of the collision sent the two vehicles to a dirt field.
Responding firefighters and medical personnel rushed Segura and his passenger Castro to the Kern Medical Center, where they succumbed to their injuries.
The Dodge driver, a 17-year-old boy, and his two occupants sustained moderate injuries following the accident. The three patients were taken to a local medical center for treatment.
Officials said they believed alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
An investigation is ongoing.

The deadly accident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. at Garces Highway and Melcher Road intersection.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Dodge Challenger collided with another car at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
As a result of the crash impact, the Dodge reportedly caught fire.
At least one person sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
