Santa Maria, Calif. – A male motorcycle rider was struck and killed by multiple vehicles on State Route 1 in Santa Maria Wednesday night.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the deadly wreck happened at around 9:25 p.m. on the southbound Highway 1 and State Route 135.
The motorcyclist was struck by several vehicles on the highway in unclear circumstances.
The male rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased was not immediately released.
The wreck impacted the highway for hours as officers investigated the incident.
