San Francisco, CA. – A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision on State Route 101 in San Francisco Thursday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the incident at around 2:30 p.m. on the southbound Highway 101 at the eastbound Interstate 80.
Investigators said the rider lost control, hit a wall, and was then struck by another vehicle.
Despite life-saving measures, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
No additional information about the wreck was provided.
