San Francisco, Calif. – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Highway 101 in San Francisco Tuesday morning.
According to the CHP, the incident was reported at around 4:34 a.m. on the southbound State Route 101 just north of Interstate 380 Connector.
A vehicle hit a pedestrian crossing the streets for unknown reasons.
The victim was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Their identity was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
The cause of the auto-pedestrian crash remains under investigation.
