San Leandro, CA. – Authorities are investigating a deadly auto-pedestrian accident on Lewelling Boulevard in San Leandro Wednesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 9:19 p.m. on Lewelling Boulevard and Embers Way.
The police said a 2005 black Chevrolet Silverado struck a pedestrian crossing the streets in unclear circumstances.
The victim was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
