Tacoma, Wash. – A was struck and killed by a train Saturday morning on 56th Street in South Tacoma.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the wreck was reported at around 10:22 a.m. on January 21 on 56th Street and South Tacoma Way.

A preliminary investigation indicated that two people were walking in the area before the train hit one of them.

The victim was pronounced dead at the crash site.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
