The Elk Grove man was in the southbound lane of the highway when he was struck by a van.
Monterey County, CA. – Fernando Arredondo Delgado, 24, has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car early Tuesday morning in Big Sur.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Highway 1 near Rocky Creek Bridge at around 5:08 a.m.
The Elk Grove man was in the southbound lane of the highway when he was struck by a van.
Delgado was killed in the accident.
The van driver, a resident of Aptos, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
