Francisco Camarena Among 2 Killed in Kern County Collision on Highway 99 near Highway 46
Kern County, California (May 2, 2022) – Francisco Javier Camarena, 24, of Morgan Hill, has been identified as one of two people who died in a crash that happened on April 24 in Kern County, according to the Kern County coroner's office.
The deadly collision took place at about 2:23 a.m. on Highway 99, just north of Highway 46.
According to the report, Camarena was a passenger in a car that collided with a semi-truck on the northbound side of Highway 99.

Camarena and the driver of the car, identified as Jesus Alberto Zarate Aguayo Jr., 24, of Tulare, were both killed in the crash.
A third party was treated for minor injuries.
An investigation into the deadly accident is ongoing.
