Child Hospitalized after Fresno Car Accident near Clinton and Marks Avenues
Fresno, California (April 1, 2022) – A child was hospitalized after a collision involving a suspected DUI driver and a Fresno police vehicle in the area of Clinton and Marks avenues Friday evening, according to authorities.
At around 6:45 p.m., an officer with a K-9 unit was traveling north in the area heading to a scene of a stolen vehicle case when the police vehicle was broadsided by a seond vehicle.
The police vehicle then went over the center median and collided with a third vehicle.

The driver who collided with the police vehicle was suspected to have been drunk at the time of the accident and was arrested.
A child in the third vehicle complained of pain and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation.
