Woman Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 between Ashlan and Shaw Avenue Off-ramps
Fresno, California (August 27, 2201) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Friday morning in northwest Fresno, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 4:15 a.m. on Highway 99 between the Ashlan and Shaw Avenue off-ramps.
According to the CHP, the pedestrian, described as a woman in her 40s, was attempting to run across the road when she was hit by a Chevy Silverado that was heading northbound on Highway 99.

The woman died at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Silverado stopped at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said.
