At Least 1 Person Dies in Fullerton Crash on Orange Freeway (State Route 57) near Yorba Linda Boulevard

Fullerton, California (October 25, 2021) – At least one person died in a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday night in Fullerton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities started receiving calls reporting a crash at around 8:52 p.m. on the Orange Freeway (State Route 57) near Yorba Linda Boulevard next to Cal State Fullerton.
Fullerton police officers and firefighters responded to the scene and found a white truck and a blue sedan off the freeway and in a ditch. The sedan was wrapped around a tree.
The firefighters freed three people who were trapped inside the vehicles.
One of the victims died of significant injuries sustained in the crash. There was no information given about the conditions of the other parties.
Police officers in the area are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
