20-Year-Old Man Killed in Garden Grove Crash on Highway 22 near Fairview Street
Garden Grove, California (January 15, 2022) – A 20-year-old man died in a Friday afternoon car crash that happened in Garden Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at around 12:18 p.m. on eastbound Highway 22, just west of Fairview Street.
The collision involved a sedan and a truck. Debris from the collision was strewn all over the traffic lanes.
A 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the crash scene, and a coroner representative was requested to respond.
The collision prompted a SigAlert to be issued closing two right lanes of eastbound Highway 22 just west of Fairview Street for about an hour.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
