Geno Gurich Killed in Jamestown Accident on Highway 120

Jamestown, California (February 25, 2022) – Geno J. Gurich, 32, of Copperopolis was killed in a Sunday two-vehicle accident that happened in Jamestown, according to authorities.
The incident took place on Highway 120 east of Perri Cone Road at around 6:45 p.m. February 20.
According to CHP, Gurich was driving a 2004 Honda Civic east on Highway 120 when he swerved across the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming 2021 Mazda CX-5 driven by Charmin J. Rogers, 34.

Gurich was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, where he was pronounced deceased on Tuesday, February 22.
A passenger in the Mazda, Beverley Jenkins, 41, was hospitalized along with two other children in the car.
A 12-year-old girl was later airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
CHP said alcohol is believed to have played a role in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
