A preliminary investigation indicated a westbound Harley Davidson motorcycle crossed the double yellow line into the eastbound lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with an eastbound Kenworth log truck, operated by Robert David Sandene, 44, of Cave Junction

Jackson County, OR. – 66-year-old George Henry Macomber of Klamath Falls was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 66 in Jackson County Wednesday morning.
According to the Oregon State Police, the incident happened on State Route 66 near milepost 11 at around 10:23 a.m. on May 15.
A preliminary investigation indicated a westbound Harley Davidson motorcycle crossed the double yellow line into the eastbound lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with an eastbound Kenworth log truck, operated by Robert David Sandene, 44, of Cave Junction.
Macomber was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead.
Sandane was not injured in the crash.
More information about the wreck was not available.
An investigation is underway.
