George Sewell Hurt in Fatal Sutter County Accident on SR-99 near Live Oak Boulevard

Sutter County, California (July 24, 2022) – George Sewell, 53, was seriously injured in a wrong-way crash that happened in Sutter County on Tuesday night, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened on SR-99 near Live Oak Boulevard shortly before 8 p.m. on July 19.
According to the report, a 2006 Toyota Solara heading south on northbound SR 99 collided head-on with an oncoming U-Haul moving van.
An 18-year-old man from Olivehurst, who was driving the Solara, died following the accident.
The U-Haul overturned following the accident.
Sewell was among the two people riding in the U-Haul.
Both occupants were hospitalized with major injuries.
Authorities said DUI is suspected to have been a factor in the wreck.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
