Police said Duncan was riding a bike across Navajo Road when he was hit by a southbound pickup truck

Apple Valley, Calif. – The bicyclist who was killed in a crash in Apple Valley on Tuesday evening has been identified as Gerald Duncan, 66, of Apple Valley, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at about 5:48 p.m. December 19, on Navajo Road north of Ottawa Road.
Police said Duncan was riding a bike across Navajo Road when he was hit by a southbound pickup truck.
Duncan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
