Police said Blomstrom was riding his motorized scooter down N Monroe Street on the sidewalk when he tried to cross the intersection in the crosswalk and was hit by a car that was turning right onto W Sprague Avenue from N Monroe Street

Spokane, WA. – Gerrad Blomstrom, 37, was hit and injured by a vehicle while riding a scooter in Spokane on July 12, according to the Spokane Police Department.
The crash happened in the area of W Sprague Avenue and N Monroe Street.
Police said Blomstrom was riding his motorized scooter down N Monroe Street on the sidewalk when he tried to cross the intersection in the crosswalk and was hit by a car that was turning right onto W Sprague Avenue from N Monroe Street.
Blomstrom was hospitalized with multiple injuries including a broken collar bone, broken toe, and sprained wrist.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and was ticketed for failure to yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
