Several People Hurt in Gilroy Car Crash on State Route 25 near Bolsa Road
Gilroy, California (May 1, 2022) – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday night in Gilroy, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred at about 11:17 p.m. on State Route 25, just a mile south of Bolsa Road.
Three vehicles collided for unknown reasons, blocking traffic lanes.
At least one person was trapped inside one of the cars that also had three other occupants. A party reporting the accident told authorities they were with two injured parties at the scene.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after the crash.
The responders said the accident resulted in major injuries. At least two ground ambulances were dispatched to the scene to transport at least two victims to the hospital.
All vehicles were towed away from the scene.
Traffic was halted in both directions for about two hours following the collision.
CHP officers are investigating the accident.
