Giorgi Ambrolidze Among 3 Injured in Trinity River Crash on SR 299 near Steel Bridge Road

Trinity River, California (March 22, 2022) – One of the three people hospitalized after a Trinity River collision on Saturday afternoon was identified as Giorgi Ambrolidze, 26, of Brooklyn, New York, according to a local news source.
The wreck happened at about 1:13 p.m. March 19, on SR 299.
According to the report, a 2001 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on SR 299 when it drifted across the solid double yellow lines and collided with the left side of an eastbound 2021 Ford F-350 truck-trailer combination.
The impact caused the Toyota to spin counter-clockwise and it crashed into the trailer of the Ford.

The force of the collision caused the engine and transmission of the Toyota to be ripped out.
Ambrolidze, who was the driver of the Ford, was flown to Mercy Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, Katelyn Patten, 19, and her passenger, Lewis Jakab, 19, both from Lewiston, were taken to Trinity General Hospital after complaining of pain.
According to authorities, alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the crash.
The wreck is under investigation.
