17-Year-Old Girl Hurt in Greenwood Accident on Highway 193 near Sliger Mine Road
Greenwood, California (March 3, 2022) – A girl was injured in a traffic collision in Greenwood in El Dorado County on Tuesday evening, according to California Highway Patrol.
The collision on Highway 193, just north of Sliger Mine Road happened at around 6:15 p.m. March 1.
CHP said a 1997 Jeep Wrangler was traveling on Highway 193 when it collided with a 2019 GMC Yukon that pulled onto the highway from Lance's Place.
Teen Among 2 Injured in Greenwood Crash on Highway 193
A 17-year-old girl from Georgetown was treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the GMC was also taken to Marshall Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Authorities later arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI.
A stretch of Highway 193 was shut down for the investigation and cleanup.
The collision remained under investigation.
