Gloria Archuleta Hurt in Fatal Fresno Car Accident on State Route 99 near North Avenue

Fresno, California (April 27, 2022) – Gloria Archuleta, 62, of Fresno, was injured in a car crash that left a Stockton woman dead in Fresno on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported at around 3:15 a.m. April 26, on State Route 99 near North Avenue.
A 66-year-old Stockton woman was driving a Dodge Stratus north on SR 99 when she drifted into the center median for unknown reasons.
The woman then overcorrected and went across all northbound lanes of SR 99 before crashing into a concrete wall on the right shoulder.
The driver then exited her vehicle to check on the damage to her vehicle.

Shortly after, a Nissan Moreno stopped behind the damaged vehicle and was rear-ended by a Jeep Cherokee driven by Archuleta.
The Nissan, being driven by Phillip Kim, 58, of Fresno, was then pushed into the Dodge and its driver.
The impact caused the Jeep to overturn.
Authorities said two more vehicles, a Hyundai Sonata and a Chevrolet Silverado, crashed into the Nissan.
The Stockton woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Archuleta, Kim, and the other drivers sustained minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the incident.
