Grand Terrace, CA: 1 Killed in Traffic Crash on 215 Freeway near Barton Road

, California (November 3, 2021) – One person died in a multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that happened Tuesday evening in Grand Terrace, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly wreck occurred at around 6:34 p.m. on near Barton Road.

A gray 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle, a semi- and a white Buick Encore were involved in the collision.

The manner of the crash was not mentioned.

The rider was down in the No. 3 lane and the Buick in the center divider.

The report said one person was pinned down by the semi's trailer that overturned. A heavy-duty tow truck was needed to lift the trailer up and get the victim's body out.

The Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes remained closed following the collision. Some motorists were using the shoulder because of traffic snarl-up in the area.

CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
