At Least 1 Suffers Major Injuries in Greenfield Car Crash on Highway 101 near Walnut Avenue Off-Ramp
Greenfield, California (January 24, 2022) – At least one person sustained serious injuries in a traffic collision involving a wrong-way driver that happened Sunday afternoon in Greenfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The head-on collision happened at around 6:14 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, near the Walnut Avenue off-ramp.
Authorities said an SUV and a 4-door sedan were involved in the accident. One of the vehicles was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided head-on into the other.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the No. 1 lane.
At least one person sustained major injuries. The patient was offered medical aid by AMR personnel.
The report also said that one of the drivers is on DUI probation until December 17, 2026.
Officers are investigating the accident.
