Guadalupe Tijerina Injured in Madera County Crash on Highway 41 at Road 406
Madera County, California (May 17, 2022) – Guadalupe Tijerina, of Fresno, was airlifted to the hospital after a traffic collision on Monday afternoon in Madera County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash on Highway 41 occurred at about 5:50 p.m. on May 16, near the intersection of Road 406 near O'Neals.
Tijerina was driving south on State Route 41 when, for unknown reasons, she drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a truck.
Tijerina's vehicle spun out and crashed into a rock embankment.

Authorities said Tijerina was pinned in her vehicle and was extricated by firefighters.
She was then airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.
The two occupants of the truck sustained minor injuries.
According to CHP, drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
