Police said Toriyama was in a crosswalk trying to walk across Pima Street when he was struck by a Ram truck
Tucson, Ariz. – Gunji Toriyama, 79, has been identified as the man who was killed in a pedestrian accident that occurred on Wednesday night in Tucson.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the crash happened on North Rook Avenue near Pima Street at about 6 p.m. January 10.
Police said Toriyama was in a crosswalk trying to walk across Pima Street when he was struck by a Ram truck.
Toriyama was killed in the accident.
The driver stayed at the scene and reportedly cooperated with investigators.
The accident is under investigation.
