Investigators said Slender was attempting to cross 75th Avenue on his bike when he was struck by a truck driven by an adult male

Phoenix, Ariz. – 37-year-old Harlan Slender was killed in a bicycle accident on 75th Avenue in Phoenix Tuesday evening.
According to a local source, the collision happened at around 6 p.m. February 27 on 75th Avenue and Hazelwood Street.
Investigators said Slender was attempting to cross 75th Avenue on his bike when he was struck by a truck driven by an adult male.
The driver and two occupants of the truck stayed on scene and spoke with officers
Slender was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
It was unclear whether impairment was a factor in the mishap.
An investigation is underway.
