1 Person Seriously Injured in Hayward Crash on Interstate 880 near State Route 92
Hayward, California (October 9, 2021) – One person was seriously injured Thursday morning in a head-on collision in Hayward, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury crash happened at around 7:19 a.m. Thursday, October 7 on Interstate 880, just south of State Route 92.
CHP said a white utility truck, a silver Toyota Camry, and a third vehicle collided on the northbound side of the interstate.
Due to the impact, the Toyota sustained major damage.
1 Hospitalized after Interstate 880 Collision
One patient, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was transported to a hospital with major injuries.
The northbound lanes of Interstate 880 near Route 92 were blocked following the crash.
No further details about the accident were immediately provided.
