1 Killed, 3 Injured in Hercules Crash on Interstate Highway 80 near State Route 4
Hercules, California (October 3, 2021) – A three-vehicle collision has claimed the life of one person and left three other people injured early Sunday morning in Hercules, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At around 1:25 a.m., the CHP officers responded to Interstate Highway 80, just north of State Route 4, to investigate the report of a traffic crash.
When the officers arrived on the scene, they determined that three vehicles had collided on the southbound side of the highway.
Two of the involved vehicles overturned after the collision.

One person died in the crash while three other people sustained unspecified injuries.
The names of the deceased person and injured parties have not been disclosed.
All lanes of Interstate Highway 80 near State Route 4 were temporarily closed while the investigation and cleanup took place. As of 1:42 a.m., the lanes were reopened to traffic.
Further details about the collision were not immediately given.
The crash remains under investigation.
