Hesperia, CA: At Least 1 Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 173 at Arrowhead Lake Road

, California (September 16, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Hesperia car crash that happened Wednesday afternoon on Highway 173 involving two vehicles.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident transpired at about 5:33 p.m. at the intersection of Arrowhead Lake Road.

A black Subaru Forester collided head-on with a tan Buick Centurion for unknown reasons.

The occupants of one of the vehicles got trapped inside after the crash.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene and confirmed that at least one occupant of the Subaru died in the accident.

There were no details about the conditions of the other involved parties.

Caltrans was requested to close the highway in both directions following the wreck.

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.

CHP is investigating the incident.
