Homero Rangel Alvarado Dies in Lamont Workplace Accident

Lamont, California (October 25, 2021) – A worker at a water well drilling facility died in a workplace accident earlier this month in Lamont, the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (CAL/OSHA) reports.
The worker, who was identified by the coroner's office as Homero Rangel Alvarado, 52, of Bakersfield, died in the October 1 incident.
Alvarado was working at a Bakersfield Well and Pump location on Hall Road in Lamont when he was struck by a piece of equipment.
The man fell and sustained fatal head injuries.
CAL/OSHA's investigation is ongoing.
