Phelan, CA – The San Bernardino County Examiner's Office has identified a victim killed in a traffic collision Tuesday night at an intersection in Phelan as 43-year-old Hugo Guzman Lopez of Adelanto.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the grisly wreck occurred in the intersection of Sheep Creek Road and Chevoit Road.
Reports revealed that a silver sedan and a dark-colored SUV were involved in the wreck. The impact caused the SUV to overturn.
Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.

Phelan, CA – One drive is dead, and another is injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Phelan Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision happened at the intersection of Sheep Creek Road and Cheviot Road at about 8:49 p.m. on May 13.
Reported, deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office rolled up to the crash involving a silver sedan and a dark-colored SUV.
As per the CHP, the SUV rolled over and came to rest on its roof, blocking both lanes of traffic.
CHP said the San Bernardino County Fire Department crews responded to the scene and declared the driver of the sedan dead. The name of the victim was not immediately released pending next of kin notification.
The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries but declined transportation to the hospital.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
