At Least 1 Injured in Santa Maria Car Accident on Highway 101
Santa Maria, California (August 16, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle accident in Santa Maria on Tuesday morning, according to the San Luis Obispo CAL FIRE.
The incident occurred on Highway 101 near Santa Maria River Bridge, south of Highway 166 East at around 6:15 a.m.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision in the northbound lanes of the highway.
Two parties were trapped in one of the vehicles and was extricated by firefighters.
There was no update on the extent of injuries sustained in the collision.
The northbound lanes of the highway were blocked following the accident.
Further details on the collision were not immediately released.
The authorities are investigating the wreck.
