According to the CHP, an orange pickup truck was traveling westbound on Tulare Avenue when it failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a school bus traveling southbound on Wasco Avenue
Shafter, CA. – Injuries were reported in a collision involving a school bus in Shafter on Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Wasco Avenue and W Tulare Avenue at about 1:17 p.m. May 27.
According to the CHP, an orange pickup truck was traveling westbound on Tulare Avenue when it failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a school bus traveling southbound on Wasco Avenue.
The impact sent both vehicles off the roadway and they came to a rest in the orchards.
Students were among the 18 occupants of the bus at the time of the crash.
Both drivers sustained minor injuries in the collision.
There were students who also had complaints of pain.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the accident.
