Irvine, CA: 1 Killed, Several Injured in Multi-Car Crash on 5 freeway

, California (November 14, 2021) – One person died, and at least three others were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle accident that happened early Sunday morning in Irvine, as per a local news source.

Emergency crews responded to southbound (5) Freeway at Yale Avenue, where the crash occurred at around 2:12 a.m.

At the scene, the responders found a black sedan and several other vehicles involved in the wreck.

A coroner's office representative was called to the scene after one person died in the accident.

The injured persons were taken to three area hospitals in unknown conditions.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
