Isaias Hernandez ID'd as Man Killed in Hayward Crash on Tennyson Road and Hesperian Boulevard
Hayward, California (October 5, 2021) – The Alameda County Coroner's Office has identified the man who died Saturday morning following a traffic collision between a sedan and a big rig in Hayward as Isaias Hernandez, 26, of San Mateo.
According to Hayward police, the deadly wreck happened at around 6:08 a.m. Saturday, October 2 near the intersection of Tennyson Road and Hesperian Boulevard.
Police said the sedan collided with the big rig at the Hayward intersection.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated two people who were pinned inside in the sedan.
The driver of the sedan, now identified as Hernandez, and his passenger were transported to Eden Medical Center, where Hernandez was pronounced deceased. The passenger was hospitalized with major injuries.
The big rig driver did not suffer any injuries.
Police said alcohol was suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The Hayward Police Department is investigating the wreck. Anyone with information or who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the authorities at (510) 293-7169.
