Isidro Ramirez Identified as 69-Year-Old Man Killed in Merced County Bicycle Crash on Highway 140 near Lincoln Boulevard
Merced County, California (October 28, 2021) – Isidro Ramirez, 69, of Livingston, has been identified as the man who was killed in a bicycle accident on Sunday morning in Merced County, according to the Merced County Sheriff Coroner's Office.
The deadly bicycle accident occurred at about 4:20 a.m., on October 17, on Highway 140, east of Lincoln Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Ramirez was riding a bicycle eastbound in the eastbound lane of Highway 140 when he was struck from behind by a 1997 GMC Sierra also traveling in the eastbound lane.

Ramirez was injured in the accident and was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Merced, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
