Jacob Robinson Killed in Multi-Car Crash on Orange (57) Freeway in Fullerton

Fullerton, California (December 1, 2021) – The Orange County Sheriff's Department has identified Jacob Robinson as the driver who died in a multi-car accident Monday morning in Fullerton.
The incident occurred at about 4:40 a.m. on the Orange (57) Freeway near Chapman Avenue.
As per authorities, Robinson, an 18-year-old Brea resident, was driving a gray BMW 328i northbound on the freeway when he collided with a 2005 Chevrolet driven by 47-year-old Francisco Martinez of Anaheim. Robinson's car ended up disabled in the No. 3 lane. Shortly after, the disabled vehicle was rear-ended by a 2005 Nissan driven by 60-year-old Salvador Gutierez of Santa Ana.
The force propelled Robinson's BMW into the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes, where it was again struck by a 2000 Honda driven by 21-year-old Raul Robles of Paramount.
First responders pronounced Robinson dead at the scene.
Authorities are investigating and believe speed may have played a role in the accident.
