, California (July 31, 2022) – The County Sheriff-Coroner's Office has identified James Darnell, 75, of Cabazon, as one of two men killed in a two-vehicle collision in Banning Friday evening.

According to the authorities, the incident happened shortly before 8:37 p.m. on July 29, on at the on-ramp to E. Ramsey Street.

The collision occurred a few seconds after one of the drivers failed to stop for police officers and collided with a second vehicle.

Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated four people from the wrecked vehicles.

Two of the involved parties, identified as Darnell and Christopher Saldana, 24, of Banning, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two other people suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

The CHP is conducting an investigation into the incident.

Banning, California (July 30, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Friday evening that killed two people and left two other parties injured in Banning.

The deadly accident occurred at about 8:37 p.m. in the area near the Ramsey Street on-ramp to Interstate 10 and the Banning Municipal Airport.

According to the officials, two vehicles collided in the area in unclear circumstances.

Sadly, two people sustained injuries in the accident. Two other parties were seriously injured and were hospitalized for treatment.
