County, California (August 24, 2022) – James Henry McKane, 69, of , has been identified as the bicyclist who died after crashing into a in on Tuesday morning.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 7:25 a.m. on Alton Parkway near Technology Drive.

A truck was reportedly stopped at the side of the road as workers performed landscaping duties when the bicyclist crashed into the rear of the truck.

James was killed in the accident, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The truck driver stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the authorities.

The police said neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the accident.

More details about the accident were not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
