Jaquane Carter Killed in Big Rig Crash on Interstate 10 in Beaumont

, California (April 5, 2022) – Jaquane Carter, 30, of Burgaw, North Carolina, has been identified as the US Navy Serviceman from North Carolina who was killed in a Friday afternoon traffic accident involving a big rig in Beaumont, according to the County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.

The accident took place at around 12:40 p.m. at Beaumont Avenue.

Carter was driving west in a 2015 Kia Sportage in the number four lane of when he failed to see stopped traffic ahead, authorities said.

Unfortunately, Carter reportedly crashed into the rear of a 2019 Freightliner towing a 53-foot semi-trailer.

The 56-year-old driver from Desert Hot Springs suffered minor injuries in the accident.
