Jaquane Carter ID'd as US Navy Service Man From North Carolina Killed in Beaumont Accident on Interstate 10
Beaumont, California (April 5, 2022) – Jaquane Carter, 30, of Burgaw, North Carolina, has been identified as the US Navy Serviceman from North Carolina who was killed in a Friday afternoon traffic accident involving a big rig in Beaumont, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
The accident took place at around 12:40 p.m. at Beaumont Avenue.
Carter was driving west in a 2015 Kia Sportage in the number four lane of I-10 when he failed to see stopped traffic ahead, authorities said.
Unfortunately, Carter reportedly crashed into the rear of a 2019 Freightliner towing a 53-foot semi-trailer.

Sadly, Carter was pronounced dead at the scene. He was stationed at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms.
The 56-year-old truck driver from Desert Hot Springs suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the collision.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
