Jarri Saul and Teen Killed, One Seriously Hurt in Two-Vehicle Collision on Hwy 226 near Albany

, OR – Two people were killed and another was seriously injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle accident near Albany, according to the police.

The fatal collision happened on July 28, 2025, on Highway 226 near milepost 1.5.

Police said a red Buick Envoy was traveling eastbound on the highway and was attempting to turn northbound onto Old Bridge Drive. It turned into the path of a westbound blue Kenworth commercial motor vehicle, and the vehicles collided nearly head-on.

The Buick driver, Jarri Lynn Saul, 55, of Lebanon, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The front seat passenger of the Buick, a 15-year-old female Japanese exchange student, was also pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The rear seat passenger, another 15-year-old female Japanese exchange student, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Kenworth, a 49-year-old Aumsville man, was uninjured in the accident.

The accident closed the highway for about four hours.

The authorities are investigating the accident.
