Corporal Jason McDonnell and Deputy Rob Harris were driving two patrol cars south on SR 17 when Harris slowed down and turned his car to block the highway at Northlake Road.

Moses Lake, Wash. – Jason McDonnell has been identified as the Grant County deputy who was injured in a collision with another patrol car on Thursday evening in Moses Lake.
The collision occurred on State Route 17 near McConihe Road just a mile from the scene of a fatal crash, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Corporal Jason McDonnell and Deputy Rob Harris were driving two patrol cars south on SR 17 when Harris slowed down and turned his car to block the highway at Northlake Road.
Both cars collided with the impact causing one of the cars to hit a light pole.
McDonnell suffered minor injuries and was taken to Samaritan Healthcare for treatment.
Harris did not need transport to the hospital.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
